Interview with Justin Reynolds, iPage Marketing Manager

The brand ‘iPage’ has been established for more than a decade but the company went inactive during mid-2000s. In year 2009, the company was restructured and relaunched by a large International business group and iPage is now back in game. iPage hosting is backed by a huge team of industry veterans – both management and technical teams are lead by experts with at least 10 years of industry experience.

Hello Justin, kindly introduce yourself and the company iPage.

Sure. I’m Justin Reynolds, iPage’s Marketing Manager, and I’m thrilled to be here. iPage is dedicated to providing an easy-to-use, all-in-one hosting solution, and we’ve been proudly serving customers for over a decade.

What type of web hosting services does iPage offer?

Aside from the basics — unlimited email, bandwidth, and the capacity to host unlimited domains — iPage offers a free security suite, different email clients (WebMail and Microsoft Exchange), site builders, free blogging software and CMS, and loads of marketing tools. Each customer receives $75 worth of search marketing credits with Google and Yahoo!, plus a $50 credit to advertise with Facebook. We also offer shopping cart options, email marketing solutions, and more.

iPage is rated as the best web hosting in many review sites (including here in TopWebHostReview.net). Can you tell us what makes iPage a winner in such a competitive industry?

We put our customers first. Our team is constantly working on ways to improve our customers’ experience with our products and services. Between usability testing, surveys, and other means of collecting feedback from our customers, we work with our product and engineering teams to make improvements. Recently, we launched a redesigned control panel, and last year, we focused on increasing email performance across the board.

Who should use iPage – can we know who are iPage’s target customers?

When we say we’re an all-in-one solution, what we’re getting at is our ability to give customers what they need to get online, and maintain a successful site. You don’t have to be technically savvy; we’ve got an excellent Drag and Drop Site Builder that makes it easy to create a professional-looking site.

At the same time, we also provide tools geared toward more experienced users, like open-source applications, a script library, and loads of marketing tools.

What can we know more about iPage’s data centers?

Our datacenters run on a pool of servers. Each server in the pool has the ability to fulfill page requests, so if one server fails, the pending request will be served by another machine standing by. We also dedicate particular pools to specific functions, like email, FTP, etc., which gives us an opportunity to fine tune those machines to those tasks. Over all, we’re able to increase reliability and performance, which reflect our core values.

Where do you see iPage in 3 years time?

I can’t say for sure, but you can expect we’ll continue to improve the products and services we provide. That’s what it’s all about.
